Ever wanted to go cycle touring around the Central Tablelands of New South Wales? Yeah, me too…
I heard whispers a new cycle touring route was just about to open, The Orange 360.
After a few phone calls, and some quick modifications to make the route more kid friendly, we booked accommodation and set off.
In this case, a drive from Jindabyne, stopping at home in Canberra just long enough to collect bikes and gear, and then onto Orange.
Unfortunately for us though, the weather was about to get hot. Really hot!
In the end we settled for a few quick day rides. Enjoyed some amazing local food. And decided to push on to the Blue Mountains to squeeze in some canyoning and hiking instead.
While our cycling trip may have been cut short, we’re determined to return and complete the entire route. Stay tuned!
If you get the chance to beat us to the gun, here was our proposed route.
